About Wire Men

A local electrician, based in Pal, working across Surat

We are a small team of working electricians rather than a call centre with a van fleet. That means the person who answers your call knows the job, and the person who arrives is the one who will come back if you need us again.

The brand

Why we called it Wire Men

The name is deliberately plain. Electrical work in a home is not glamorous and it should not be sold as if it were — it is wire, connections, protection and the discipline to do all three properly every time.

What we do try to be different about is the explanation. A great deal of electrical work in Surat gets done without anybody telling the customer what was actually wrong. A breaker gets reset, a socket gets swapped, an invoice appears. Six weeks later the same fault comes back, because the cause was never found.

So the standard we hold ourselves to is simple: you should be able to repeat back, in your own words, what failed and why. If our explanation only makes sense to an electrician, it was not a good enough explanation.

Where we work from

Gaurav Path Road, Pal

Our workshop is on Gaurav Path Road in Pal, and our shop address is in Adajan, opposite the Greencity Building. Being based here rather than across the river is the reason we can reach Gaurav Path Road, Pal, Pal Gam, Adajan, Rander, Palanpur and the Jahangirabad belt quickly — often within half an hour when someone is free, and inside twenty minutes on our own road.

It also means we know the buildings. The society boards in Adajan that were designed for a much lighter load. The new towers along VIP Road handed over with builder-standard point counts. The timber-fronted houses in Rander and the old properties in Nanpura and Athwa, where chasing a wall is not always the right answer. The three-phase workshop units in Udhna and Katargam. Local knowledge in this trade is not marketing language — it genuinely changes what we put in the van.

How we work

Four things we do every single time

  • Diagnose before quoting

We find out what is actually wrong before telling you what it costs. It takes longer on the day and saves a return visit.

  • Say no to the shortcut

Oversized breakers, bypassed RCCBs and joints buried in plaster all make a problem go away today and come back worse later.

  • Explain it plainly

You should understand what failed and why. If an explanation only makes sense to an electrician, it is not a good enough explanation.

  • Leave it better than we found it

Labelled boards, tidy terminations, spare capacity for what comes next, and the floor swept before we go.

Residential

Homes, flats and housing societies

Most of our work is in homes: emergency call-outs, board upgrades and RCCB protection, rewiring where an installation has reached the end of its life, new circuits for air conditioning and geysers, fans, lighting and switchboard replacement. We also handle common-area work for societies — stairwell and compound lighting, and the circuits that trip every monsoon.

Commercial

Shops, offices and small workshops

For businesses the constraint is usually time rather than complexity, so we work outside trading hours where that helps. Signage and display lighting, counter and refrigeration circuits, office power and trunking, three-phase supplies and load balancing for workshops in Katargam and Varachha, and planned maintenance with a written report each visit.

Our commitments

What you can hold us to

None of this is remarkable. It is simply what careful work looks like, written down so you know what to expect.

  • We diagnose before we quote, so you are not paying for a guess.
  • We tell you the cost before the work starts, including any call-out charge.
  • We will not fit an oversized breaker or bypass an RCCB to stop nuisance tripping.
  • We label the board and leave a circuit list, so the next person is not guessing.
  • If the fault is an appliance rather than your wiring, we say so.
  • If the job turns out bigger than expected, we stop and tell you.
