New ceiling fans fitted to a properly rated hook with a correct down-rod, regulator and a wobble check before handover.

A ceiling fan seems like a simple fitting until it wobbles, hums or drops its speed control after a month. Most of those problems start at installation: a hook that was never meant to carry a fan, a down-rod at the wrong length, or a regulator wired to the wrong point. We fit fans so that they run quiet and stay where they are put.
Almost every serious fan problem comes back to the fixing. In older Surat flats the ceiling hook is often a hook cast into the slab decades ago, sometimes rusted, sometimes the wrong size for a modern heavier fan with a light kit.
We check what is actually up there before hanging anything. Where the existing hook is not suitable we install a proper anchor into sound concrete. In false ceilings, the fan must be carried by the structural slab above, never by the false ceiling frame — that is a mistake we are called out to correct more often than you would expect.
A fan hung from a gypsum or POP false ceiling frame will eventually come down. If your ceiling is boxed in, the fixing has to go through to the slab.
Blade height changes how a fan feels. Too close to the ceiling and the airflow is weak; too low and it is uncomfortable and unsafe in a room where people stand. In most Indian ceiling heights a down-rod of around 25 to 30 cm puts the blades in a sensible position, though a high or sloped ceiling needs a longer rod.
Position matters as much as height. A fan tucked into a corner or blocked by a beam moves far less air than one central to the space people actually use. We will tell you if the existing point is in the wrong place and what it would take to move it.
The regulator makes a real difference to how a fan runs. Older resistive regulators waste energy as heat and often give an unusable lowest speed. Electronic step regulators are more efficient and hold their setting better.
If your new fan is a BLDC model it may come with a remote and its own controller, in which case the wall regulator is bypassed and the point is wired to give full voltage. We set that up properly rather than leaving a dead regulator on the wall.
Questions
Yes. We install fans of any brand as long as the mounting hardware is complete. If a part is missing from the box we will tell you before starting rather than improvising.
About 45 minutes to an hour where a usable hook and point already exist. Adding a new point or fixing takes longer, and we will quote that separately.
Often yes, but a light point may not have the right cable or a suitable fixing above it. We check both before committing — a fan hung off a light point without a proper anchor is not safe.
Yes, and we set the wall point up correctly for them so the remote and controller work as designed instead of fighting an old regulator.

A ceiling fan that has slowed down is usually not worn out. It is usually a capacitor, a bearing or a layer of dust nobody has looked at in three years.
