Chandeliers assembled, anchored into structural concrete, wired and levelled — including tall stairwells and double-height halls.

A chandelier is the one light fitting where getting the fixing wrong has consequences. They are heavy, they are usually hung over the part of a room where people gather, and they are often installed after the ceiling is finished. This is careful work rather than quick work, and we treat it that way.
Before anything is unpacked we establish what the ceiling is and what is above it. A chandelier over about five kilograms needs an anchor into sound concrete — not a plastic plug in plaster, and never a false-ceiling frame.
Where the fitting is going into a room with an existing gypsum ceiling, we set a fixing through to the slab and bring the load down through it. It is more work than hanging it off whatever is there, and it is the difference between a fitting that stays up for twenty years and one that does not.
If a chandelier was hung from a false ceiling by a previous installer, have it checked. Gypsum board and its frame are not designed to carry a point load, and failures happen without warning.
Drop height changes everything about how a chandelier reads in a room. Over a dining table, the bottom of the fitting usually wants to sit roughly 75 to 90 cm above the tabletop — low enough to feel intentional, high enough to see across. In an open hall the rule is different: it should clear head height comfortably with room to spare.
In double-height stairwells and entrance halls, the fitting is usually hung so it reads well from both the ground floor and the landing. We set the chain or rod length with you present rather than guessing, because it is not a thing you want to redo.
Multi-arm chandeliers arrive as a box of parts, and assembling one properly takes time — arms squared, crystals hung in the right order, lamps matched so no arm is brighter than another. We do that on site, on a clean sheet, before anything goes up.
We also leave you with the practical information: which lamp type the fitting takes, whether it can be dimmed, and how to clean it without loosening the arms. Most chandelier damage happens during cleaning rather than during use.
Questions
For domestic fittings, effectively any weight — the question is what the ceiling can carry. We assess the slab and specify the anchor accordingly, and we will tell you if a position is not suitable.
Yes. Tall stairwell and double-height installations are regular work for us. We arrange safe access and set the drop height with you before fixing.
Only if the point's cable and the fixing above it are suitable. Most builder light points are not rated for a heavy fitting, so a new anchor is usually part of the job.
Yes, we assemble the fitting completely. We also check the lamps are matched so the light is even across all the arms.
